Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago is planning to pass a bill called the "Anti-Epal" the title itself is insulting for the genuine "epal" politicians, who proudly post their faces and names in different government projects as if it was funded by them. If you want to see some proof, go outside of your house or wherever you are, count 1 up to 20 surely you'll find a politician's name or image in a: footbridge; traffic light; ambulance; hospital; school; baranggay patrols; basketball court and etc even worse some politicians are so much addicted to publicity that they even let their picture be printed on a tarpaulin during funeral, and at a first glance you would even think they're already dead.

• people try to "box-out" each other in the crowd going inside the cemetery when they can visit their deceased family members hassle free on a different date; 

• you shouldn't give your girlfriend a flower since its the day for the dead - it could be insulting. 

• probably ghost employees are in day off

• news programs on t.v. suddenly becomes a "ghost bumps" series.

• you're in a Halloween party, you should be careful of praising someones costume especially their mask for it could just be their natural face.

Well whatever it may be. Wherever you are someones watching you! look at your back...! Just kidding.! Stay safe everyone.

Be good all the time,

When people starts to realize that your the "bad-guy" - your out of the picture. That's what happen to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. He was seized and eventually killed by the angry rebels in Libya. Maybe he's done too much evil which the devil couldn't even handle. But even this guy is afraid of the evil doings too for his last words was "don't shoot" - we'll isn't it ironic? We'll his time surely was ended.  He ruled Libya for four decades (wow! if he's that bad - like what they say in the news, did his  people lived in hell for over forty years?). Anyways this scene is familiar here in the Philippines we have our own infamous leader too, our should I say "leaders" I'm not pretty sure if the other one is qualified for the word "infamous" (wait let me check on the word) - yes! she is.

Twenty five years ago, the Filipino fought against the dictatorship Ferdinand Marcos and her brat wife Imelda. They ruled the Philippines for over 20 years, but same with Gadaffi, the people in that time thought that he's dictatorship should be over. Well In 1986 the Filipino people was victorious, except the fact that their clan seem to rise up again in the political arena - and they are winning it. (How can it be?). Meanwhile at present, former President Gloria Arroyo is now being subpoena by the court for being a cheater. She along with his fat husband was flooded by many controversies and scandal ( of course not a sex scandal - ew) during her administration and they are now facing many potential charges that would possibly put them in the hospital - I mean in jail. Unlike the two she ended up her term peacefully, but the people hate her a lot. She's lucky because she wasn't shot like Gadaffi, for she has so many critics that is very annoyed not by her style of leadership but with her smile -"nho?"

Being a greed and selfish leader is not surely a trending topic in twitter today.

5 Ways to be on Top of the Class

As a student, we always wanted to be on the top, to be the most "Genius", to be the most famous in the class. In order to make our friends, relatives, teacher and specially our parents to be proud. So today i'll give you 5 ways to be on TOP of the class.

1. DO NOT SKIP CLASSES
    - to be on top, make sure that you don't miss your classes. It's because absences makes you miss all the information that your teacher gave in your class. You will also miss some quiz, test, exam, and other activities in your class. This can lead to low grades.

2. BE ACTIVE
    - being active it can make you number 1. Always participate in all activities, make sure to always recite, always be attentive, always be a leader, your classmates must believe and trust in you whatever activity it is. In this way, your teacher might be proud of you and give you a high grade.

3. DO ALL YOUR HOME WORKS, SEAT WORKS, PROJECTS, ETC.
    - be sure to finish in time all the works like assignment, projects, thesis, etc. that your teacher told. It will help to get your grades higher.

4. STUDY BEFORE EXAMINATIONS/MAJOR TESTS
    - i hate examinations, i failed on some of it and got low grades. So if you don't like to be like me, you must study all the topics regarding to the scope of the test or exam. Memorize all if possible.

5. BE POSITIVE
    - being always positive can help to be on top. If you do all the 4 steps above, you will always think that you all pass the exams, quizzes, recitation, home works, projects and get a higher grades that will lead you on TOP of your class.

study hard vs. super cramming vs. stock-knowledge, whats best?

Students surely have their own remedies with their back-aching-mind-exhausting exams. Either they choose to study lessons immediately, doing it repeatedly so they can master it or maybe they never care to their professors, they just let lessons by and the night before exams will try to dump information as much as they can in their brains or just listen to their instructor very carefully and retain as much as information as they can and will hope to remember everything during exams. Whatever method you are using, let's look at how helpful or useless each of them could be:

• "Study hard method" you may think that it is what every student should do, but look, not all students are built to withstand the boredom it creates, unless if you the ones who find happiness in sitting for hours moving nothing but your hands and eyes. So if your not a nerd kind a guy it maybe not the best for you. But if you want a high-scoring quiz maybe it is the best way to do it!

• "Super cramming method" If you would see a person who's seem like talking to him/herself, looking up into ceilings and walls as if there are letters written on it, grabbing and pulling their hair and looked worried, they are not crazy they're just cramming. This method is best if you have (are):                             
        1. tight schedule - you do things other than studying
        2. short term memory - you find it useless to study your lessons on normal  basis because you'll simply forget them all.
        3. a procrastinator -  your favorite line is "never put till tomorrow what  you can do today" but you never understand it.
                                       
  This method could work. But it may bring you frustration when you wont remember the answers that you just read a while ago.
  
• "Stock-knowledge" this is just often combined with the two methods above. You can also just do it with out help of the two but that's if you are a "genius-super-nova-to-the-extent-that-you-are-just-waiting-for-a-college-diploma-for-you-know-all-the-possible-lessons-to-be-taught" or at least when you are confident - for you are 100% sure that you could do it without preparing, you have no problem. If you are not, then maybe your stock-knowledge methodology relies not only on your sole capability but also from the others! This method if would be understand  mutually by classmates leads to team work. And nothing works better than team work. A little peek in your seatmates paper won't harm you, when you won't get caught!
  

These methods is not made by experts. It is not supported by scientific studies and research. It is based on my best teacher: experience. Whether your study habits fall in one of those three make sure you enjoy school! Take care everyone! 

ang alamat ng benteng aw...

Hindi mo ito namamalayan pero madalas mo itong mapansin. Marahil ngayon mu lang ito narinig pero maaaring palagi mu itong nararanasan. May ideya kanaba sa mga sinasabi ko? Kung wala ay ito pa ang clue, ang "benteng aw" ay isang bagay tungkol sa pagkawala - Oo pagkawala! at sigurado akong naranasan mu ng mawalan ng mga bagay-bagay. Interesado kana ba? Kung hindi ay tiyak na paulit-ulit mu itong mararanasan sa iyong buhay. Hayaan mung imulat ng sulating ito ang iyong kaisipan sa isang munting bagay na posibleng laging nag dudulot sayo ng pangamba, lungkot, at pagkabigla - dahil sa pagkawala!

Ang "benteng aw" ay hindi pangalan, ito ay masasabing pangyayari o maaring ding salitang pangkilos ( verb sa english di ko alam yung tagalog eh) - malinaw din na hindi sya pedeng gamitin sa pinoy henyo dahil masyado itong mahirap hulaan, subalit gaya ng sinabe ko kung itutuloy nyo pa ang pagbabasa nito malalaman nyo na ito ay very common sa ating pang araw-araw na buhay lalo na sa: magkakabarkada, estudyante at mag ka opisina! Para mas malinaw ito ang mga sitwasyon kung saan nangyayari ang benteng aw: babala maselan ang mga susunod na halimbawa at maaring makasira ng relasyon siguraduhing nasa mabuting katinuan ang pag-iisip bago at matapos itong basahin!!!

Situasyon 1: Nagaganap ang benteng aw sa jeep. Pa'no? Sumakay ka ng may kasama, nag bayad ka ng         bente at sabe nya ibayad mu muna sya at wala kanang magawa dahil sinabe nya sa drayber na "dalawa po yan". Anung nasa isip mu? Aw ang bente ko!

Sitwasyon 2: Plong: "nad nili tayo RC (softdrink ng mahirap)"
                  Nad: "o eto sampu dagdagan mu"
                  Rj: "wala kaming barya"
                  Nad: "sige na nga, eto bente, sukli ko ah"
                  (umalis ang dalawa, bumili ng RC at bumalik)
                  Rj: "eto na Nad"
                  Nad: "sukli ko!"
                 Plong: "binili namin ng chippy (yung tig pi-piso!) hehe"
                 Nad: "aw"
                 (ayun malinaw na nawala ang kanyang bente ng walang kalaban laban)

Sitwasyon 3: Ang susunod ay ang sitwasyon na kung saan ang dahilan ng "benteng" aw ay ang malalang ekonomiya ng Pilipinas. Ito ay isa lang sa maraming halimbawa - ang mahal na harina ay nagdudulot ng "benteng aw". Paano? eto:
                  Isang mainit na tanghali, bandang alas-tres ng hapon, nakaramdam ng gutom si bernard at ang tatlo niyang mga kaibigan. Mahaba na ang nilakad nila mula Palipran at nasa Area F na sila sa kaslukuyan. Naisipan nilang bumili sa isang bakery. Obviously wala silang silang pamasahe kaya sila naglalakad, pero para makabili ng tinapay ay inpon nila ang mga natirang barya ng bawat isa. Sakto umabot ito ng bente (pwera sa mga libo-libong pera na inipit ni joey na ayaw lang I-ambag). pagkatapos mag ambagan ay lumapit na sila sa panaderya. Saksihang mabuti kung paanu magaganap ang insidente.
                   Nad: "Anu kayang masarap dyan? Te eto nga oh"
                   (hindi sila pinansin ng tindera, at inuna ang isang kostumer kahit nauna silang dumating)
                   Elmer: "Nad masungit ang tindera."
                   Ben: "Oo nga . Tarayan mu din nad"
                   Nad: "Sige! Te ito nga oh!!!" (pagalit-na-pasigaw-na-payabang na sabi ni bernard habang
                   inuturo ang maliit ngunit mukang masarap na tinapay.
                   Mukang di kamahalan ang tinapay dahil sa liit nito)
                   Tindera: Magkano! (masungit na  sagot ng tindera)
                   Nad: " bigyan mu'ko eto bente!!!" (mas masungit at mayabang na sagot ni bernard na para                             bang bibilhin ang buong bakery)
                   Tindera: "bente isa nyan!!!"
                   (nagka tinginan ang magkakaibigan at nagulat, hindi nila nakita ang price board,
                   bente nga ang presyo ng tinapay. Pero dahil sa kayabangan ay wala na silang nagawa. Kundi
                   panindigan ito)
                    Ben: "Oo nga eto bente o! can't you see moth***f***ck bulsh***++?!"
                    Nad: "Oo, bente nga, Bakit?" (sabay iling)
                   (ang sumunod na bulyaw ni Ben at Bernard ay parang wala ng lakas., kundi ito ay
                    senyales ng disapointment, at hindi na sa tindera ang sigaw na yon, kundi dahil sa gutom at
                   dahil sa benteng nasayang nila. Pinaghati-an ng magkaibigan ang maliit na tinapay, hindi na 
                   nakakain si Bernard dahil dinampot ni ben at isinubo agad ito ng buong buo ni Ben)
                   Elmer: "aw! bente pala yun" (at dali-daling nagpatuloy ng paglalakd ang mag kakaibigan
                   habang minu-muni ng kahulihulihang bente nila)

Hindi bat ang sitwasyon 3 ay malinaw na halimbawa ng benteng aw? tsk. tsk. May alam pa akong insidente na sa jeep din naganap:

Sitwasyon 4: Pupunta ng gig (may banda sila) ang magkakaibigan, nung nasa jeep na sila.
                    Ben (vocalist): "wala akong pamasahe eh"
                    Nad(manager): "o, sige sagot ko pabalik mu!"
                    Joey(audience): "ako din kulang pera ko, pamasahe!"
                    Nad: "magkano ba pera mu dyan?"
                    Joey: "bente"
                    Ben: "ganito gawin naten, akin na yang bente mo" (inabot ni koey ang bente kay Ben)
                    Joey: (ngumiti) "libre nyo'ko"
                    Ben: "hindi akin na tong bente mo, umuwi kana!!!"
                   (at wala ng nagawa si Joey kundi umuwi, napilitan syang bumaba ng jip dahi; lima lang ang
                    binayad na grupo kahit pang anim si joey)
                    Joey: "aw" (nagsimulang maglakad pauwi.)

"Huhu, ang BENTE ko!! aw"

Sana ay malinaw na sa ating lahat. Maaaring maganap kahit saan ang "benteng aw." maari din itong mangyari habang natutulog, habang kumakain, habang nangingisda, habang nasa eroplano, habang nagto-toothbrush, habang, nagluluto, hindi lang ito nawawalang sukli, pede din itong pantaya sa lotto o pampusta sa tong-it. Kayas maging mapamatyag tayo sa ating mga kaibigan at wag maging biktima! Maaaring naranasan mu na ang mga halimbawang sitwasyon na aking nabanggit ngunit maari din namang meron kang sariling karanasan ng "benteng aw." Kung ikaw ay nais mag-bahagi ng iyong karanasan maaring mag iwan ka lang sa comment box sa ibaba. At kung ikaw ay palaging biktima nito maari ka ring sumangguni sa amin. Ang aming grupo ay mga eksperto sa sa penomenang ito. Tiyak na masasagot namin at mabibigyan kalutasan kung kayo ay dumadanas ng ganitong problema. Ipaalam nyo lang sa amin.

             

Why the Philippines isn’t Developing ?

Ever wonder why Philippines don’t grow through the years, although it was one of the rising Asian countries during 1950 or 60’s.  ?   According to some hospitality experts or travel advisor Philippines is somehow nice country and still millions and millions tourist come and go. Considering that tourism can help the country to grow or develop. What these people don’t know the deep fact of the Philippines has not growing because three reason. The negative side of cultures and traditions of the Philippines. The Catholic Church interfering with the government.  Having a political unrest. This are three main factors why the Philippines isn’t developing.

The Filipino people are known for having different kinds of culture and tradition.  For example, Filipinos are hospitable people; they give respect for old people and Being helpful to other in need.  They are also two negative cultures that can still apply why the Philippines isn’t developing, which are being crab-mentality and the “Filipino Time”. Filipinos are tending to have a crab mentality attitude. Imagine a basket of crabs climbing to top but all crabs are pulling down each other. The Filipinos tend to be like crabs if  a person he/she is on the another person will drag he/she  to the bottom be on top. The Filipinos are also known having a lack of respect in time. The maximum thing time of being late is 5 minutes.(in other culture). The Filipinos they don’t mind if you’re late an hour or more.  These two negative cultures should be removed, because it does make any good. The Filipinos should help each other going to the top not dragging down each other. They should also have the discipline or respect the time and other people’s time.  

The Philippines are known for being a conservative-catholic country. Sometimes being conservative-catholic are tend to break the boundaries between the church and the government.  The Catholic Church in the Philippines are always interfering what the government decision are. A big example is the “RH BILL”.’(aiming to guarantee universal access to methods and information on birth control and maternal care. ) The church said it would be like “abortion” and it is against the Bible.  They should check reality. That’s why the Philippines is over-populated and most of the populated are in the slums areas. No food or a good shelter to live on.  The church should not interfere too much what the government do or make a bill. It is also against the bible, the Vatican and the whole Catholic Church to interfere with politics.                                                                                                                         

what I could care less.., and what do I care for..

"You have your mind,
choose what's best."

In times where I lack in sleep, and as I am trying to - then I could not! I oftentimes recall the hours of the day, on how I used my physical energy until I felt tired but I know this will happen at the end of the day and my remaining question is where did my mind spend its "thinking" today. Really, we deal with everyday thoughts in our lives, it is the time where we take split second thinking on, for instance what dress to wear tomorrow, or what food to eat later in lunch, but sometimes we take a whole minute to think for other things whether serious or not, whether it is vital in our life or not, whether it makes sense or nonsense at all. This thoughts disregarding its usefulness, when accumulated throughout the day surely eats-up  time. But what can we do? We cant stop our brain to think. And if that is the case,
it would be better if I could select the things I want to spend thinking about.

If I can manipulatively choose what to think, the easy first choice would be just to think about things that would help in my life's betterment and to get rid of the things  that would worry me, specially the nonsense or non-relevant to me at least like: I would not think about showbiz and neighbor gossips - why on earth should I care about them? I wouldn't waste my time guessing what will happen to the next episode of an awful soap opera being televised every night. If I spend time pondering such things it would do no good to surely. On a much serious note I would not think about my low grades in school, I would convinced my self that life wouldn't judge me according to my class card and that there is more in life outside the classrooms, so there is no use for me to stumble and get stressed watching my almost-failing-grade and thinking if I'd copy my seatmates answer correctly during exams or wondering if I have reviewed enough, or do my mind's capability  of learning my lessons just deteriorating. Although I want a better life, I would not dream and expect about being rich and collecting all the wealth in the world, when you have that kind of perspective you would have early frustrations whenever there is a situation that is pushing you away in your quest of hunting down the treasure - money is the root of evil, and evil is the main reason of worry that will surely cause you of often thinking. Its good to be wealthy, but this kind of thing is better be done than just dreaming. Also I would lessen my expectations on things I want to achieve, if I am doing something I would not over work myself so that I won't be upset when things fall apart.

Our mind is made to think. Though we own it, we sometimes cannot perceive what thought is coming to us, sometimes thoughts just puff out of nowhere, and we deal this with this, rather we choose to ignore or to prolonged this prevailing concern in our mind. But who would want to insert bad things on once thoughts? then I can safely say that it is better to exert our mental effort on positive things rather than just wasting our time in worries.
